Sobre turismo y conservación en la revista World Birdwatch

A finales de 2012 (número de diciembre) se publicó un artículo sobre el impacto del turismo ornitológico en la avifauna y el medio ambiente, en la revista World Birdwatch, de BirdLife International. Sin entrar tanto en los aspectos negativos, que todos ya conocemos, en éste artículo, titulado ‘Making Iberian nature pay. A look at innovative projects in Spain and Portugal using tourism to help protect wildlife‘, se destacan los efectos beneficiosos que el mismo puede tener. Se nombran iniciativas como el proyecto IberAves (de SPEA y SEO/BirdLife, en el cuál he tenido ocasión de participar) y Birding Navarra (en el cuál llevo más de 6 años trabajando). Su autor es Nick langley.

An article by Nick langley about birding tourism and their positive effects on wildlife conservation has been published in the last number of World Birdwatch Magazine (December 2011). A big part of the text is dedicated to the IberAves and the Birding Navarra projects, in whom I’m involved.
